Flexible Benefits Plan

Recognizing that our workforce is diverse and the needs of our employees and their families are unique, National Penn is pleased to offer a compre­hensive Flexible Benefit Plan. This particular plan offers a wide range of core and elective benefit options for your consideration. All full-time employees are eligible for our Flexible Benefits Plan on the first day of the month after one calendar month of employment.

Core Benefits

National Penn provides Core Benefits to all eligible employees. You are automatically enrolled in these benefits at no cost. Your eligibility for certain Core Benefits may be based on your employee status.

Group Life Insurance

Provides financial support for an employee’s family.

Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D)

Provides financial support for an employee’s family.

Short Term Disability Insurance (STD)

Provides supplemental income in the event of a qualified short term illness or injury.

Long Term Disability Insurance (LTD)

Provides supplemental income in the event of a qualified long term illness or injury.

Paid Holidays

National Penn designates holidays each year for employees to celebrate with their family.

Paid Time Off Programs (PTO)

National Penn provides PTO for annual paid vacation time, to continue income when illness prevents attendance, to provide time to cover important family responsibilities, and when necessary to make up hours unavoidably missed.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Confidential referral and information services provided to all employees available 24/7.

Health Advocate

Assistance with health care billing, scheduling, referral, insurance, provider search, etc. Available to all employees and their families

Tuition Reimbursement

Active employees are eligible for reimbursement of the cost of college courses related to an employee’s present position or to career development at National Penn.

Discount Health Club / Gym Membership

Available through healthcare and discount providers.

Capital Accumulation 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan

National Penn’s encourages employees to save for their future by providing matching contributions and profit sharing contributions.

Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)

Offered to all qualified employees, the opportunity to purchase shares of National Penn Common Stock through payroll deduction.


Elective Benefits

These programs are offered by National Penn on a group basis since many of these options would be difficult and costly for you to purchase on an individual basis. The program’s flexibility will allow all employees to select the benefit options best fitting their individual and family needs.
