Did you know that National Penn is rated by Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA)?
KBRA, like other bank rating services, assigns a letter grade based on liquidity, asset quality, capital and earnings. This rating is meant to indicate the safety and soundness of an institution.
KBRA rates commercial and state-chartered savings banks, savings and loans, credit unions and the 100 largest bank holding companies in the U.S. A quarterly publication is available for a fee and includes a summary of financial statistics, ratios and peer group comparisons.
National Penn is also listed by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). If your business is involved with insurance related transactions, the counterparty sometimes requires the issuing bank to be rated, registered, listed or approved.
Information about NAIC can be found on their Web site. Their "Mutual Fund and Bank List" is available for sale in the NAIC Publications Catalog.
